Brandon D. Williams works across wide-ranging issues, from amateur NIL matters to the intersection of tech with sports and entertainment, and across fintech, digital health, and other technology-enabled businesses.  

With nearly three decades of experience, as a former NBA corporate and team executive, small business owner, and executive at a media and entertainment startup, Brandon has positively impacted the success of institutions, organizations, and athletes as well as communities. He currently co-leads GwC’s Sports, Entertainment and Tech (SET) team. 

Prior to GwC, Brandon was Executive Vice President and Head of Basketball Operations at Overtime Elite. From concept design to operations, Brandon spearheaded the first-of-its-kind, transformative league for fans, consumers, and investors. Responsibilities included overseeing global employee searches, contract drafting and negotiations, and all aspects of League and Team Operations, including scheduling, sports science and wellness, personnel and scouting, strategy, analytics, and administration. Immediately prior to his time at Overtime Elite, he was an On-Air Analyst for Stadium after serving as Assistant General Manager of the Sacramento Kings organization, overseeing day-to-day operations, performance, strategy, personnel, and roster management. Williams joined the Kings after starting the “Process” as a front office executive with the Philadelphia 76ers, as Vice President of Basketball Administration, and as General Manager of the NBA G-League’s Delaware 87ers.

As a professional player, Williams began his career as a player in 1996, earning both CBA (Sioux Falls Skyforce) and NBA (San Antonio Spurs) championships. He also gained significant international playing experience, via leagues in France, Greece, Germany, Italy, and Israel. After retiring from the court in 2005, he spent nine years with the NBA League Office, learning the business of basketball across Social Responsibility and Player Programs, Basketball Operations, Legal, and consulting on the league’s Affiliation and Assignment System (now recognized as the NBA G-League). 

Originally from Detroit, by way of Collinston, Louisiana, Brandon now resides in Atlanta with his wife, Amy, and a beautiful, blended family of 4 children. In his downtime, Brandon enjoys crime and espionage stories, coaching youth travel basketball, anything lake or beachside, taking long scenic bike rides, or riding his Peloton.
